【Madness AND Brilliance】 Before this movie I hadn’t seen many movies involving Johnny Depp, but I believe that his performance as Captain Jack Sparrow takes the cake.!! You simply forget all about Johnny Depp and totally fall into all that is Jack, crazy rambling and all. Daft he is, that Jack Sparrow. Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Swann is just as good. She projects just the right amount of fire and ladylike reserve and makes for a wonderful character. And of course, most of us know Orlando Bloom from his debut in Lord of the Rings as Legolas.***** But here he trades in his bow, Mirkwood clothing, and wispy blonde hair for darker curls, a cutlass, and a hat with a very long feather in it. I hope to see him go far in the acting world, just as long as he doesn't go all weird the way a lot of them tend to.!! The movie is action packed, but not so much that it takes away from the storyline, which is a very interesting one indeed. It’s hard not to enjoy a good ghost story, and most of us haven't encountered a good pirate movie (if at all) in a long time, no matter how fantastic it may be. Disney hit the jackpot with this little nugget of gold. It’s hard not to love all the characters, even the diabolical Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). I give kudos to the writers because the dialogue is great, hilarious, and simply adds to the flavor of the movie. Nothing really needs to be said of the effects simply for the fact that they were awesome.!! They weren’t over the top, but they didn’t skimp on the budget and end up with a lack of skill either. A perfect balance of comedy, action, and romance, and if you haven’t seen this movie already, then go out right now and rent it (and buy some snacks to go with and maybe a bottle of rum!). From Johnny Depp to Orlando Bloom, or Geoffry Rush to Jack Davenport, the movie in its entirety was awesome.★★★★★

「呪われた海賊達」を見た方が「デットマンズ・チェスト」を始めて見るとちょっと指向が違うと感じるかもしれません。残酷な場面とも感じる所もあります。が、笑わせる所や手に汗握る場面は製作者側の2作目への強い意気込みを感じさすがとしかいいようがありません。主役のジョニーは確実にジャックの苦悩をジャックの弧高の雰囲気を持って演じ観た後は、何度も彼に逢いたくなって仕方がありませんでした。他の共演者もみんな魅力があり、足りないものも、入らないものもない演出だと感じました。早くDVDで何度も堪能したい作品です。今はサウンドトラックで場面を思い出し発売日を楽しみにしています。ジャックはやっぱり最高ですよ！

３作を通じて一番分かりやすいストーリー展開、かつテンポもそこそこ良いような気がします。 （１作目はちょっと間延び感があり、３作目はストーリーがごちゃっとしていて、所々、『？？？』というところが…） ジョニーが好き！ ジャックが好き！ オーリィも男前で捨てがたい！ という私のような人は買ってソンはないはずです。

パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン３が２００７年５月２５日に全世界同時公開されます。 「the curse of the black pearl(邦題：呪われた海賊たち)」においては奇抜な役柄のジョニー・デップ扮するジャックスパロウ船長の喜劇でしたが、 映画の作りこみ様にひきこまれて「dead man's chest(邦題：デッドマンズチェスト)｣を映画館で見てしまいました。見てしまったが最後、「１」は単品でも楽しめるものですが、「２」をみると３部構成であることがはっきりとわかります。要するに「３」を見ないと終われません。公開が待ち遠しいです。
